SIP
Your line has its own SIP login, for a softphone or for a PBX as a "SIP trunk with registration". Its details are in
your phone number's dongle.sip: domain, port 5061, TLS 1.2+, SRTP required, digest auth.
Set the password
Not available yet. Setting the password through the API is coming. Until then, a request with DwwSipPassword
is refused with 700009, and SIP stays off on a line without a password. The exception: a
line that already had a working SIP login when it moved to the API keeps that login working.
When it's available, you'll set it with POST /Accounts/{AccountSid}/IncomingPhoneNumbers/{Sid}.json and
DwwSipPassword, like this:
DwwSipPassword=generatemakes a strong one and returns it once, asdww_sip_password.- Your own must be at least 16 printable characters, with 3 of the 4 character kinds, and must not contain the username, the number or your AccountSid. Otherwise: 740001.
- Up to 5 changes per line per hour (740002).
- The password is never shown back, and there's no recovery: a lost one means setting a new one.
One call at a time
The SIP login and the API share one dongle: whichever call comes second gets 700001.
